This thesis explores the contemporary British youth culture. It briefly analyses its history in order to discover elements similar to those observed nowadays. On the basis of these findings, the thesis focuses on more detailed study of youth culture in the last twenty years and describes a gradual shift in perception of young people from positive to predominately negative. Tato práce se zabývá současnou kulturou britské mládeže. Stručně analyzuje její historii za účelem nalezení prvků podobných těm, jenž mohou být pozorovány v dnešní době. Na základě těchto poznatků se práce zaměřuje na podrobnější zkoumání kultury mládeže v posledních dvaceti letech a popisuje postupnou změnu ve vnímání mladých lidí z pozitivního k převážně negativnímu.
