Theosophical Society in the Czech Lands

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá teosofickými a antroposofickými organizacemi v českých zemích, a to v historické perspektivě jejich vzniku a vývoje od počátku jejich existence až po současnost. Popisuje teosofickou nauku, život a dílo Heleny Petrovny Blavatské. Zabývá se jak vznikem a vývojem adyarské Teosofické společnosti, tak americké teosofické větve a specifickými tendencemi německé a rakouské teosofie. Navazuje popisem antroposofické nauky, zaměřuje se na osobnost a dílo jejího zakladatele Rudolfa Steinera a na vznik a vývoj antroposofické společnosti. Popisuje historii českých teosofických hnutí od konce 19. století, kdy byla v roce 1891 založena první česká teosofická lóže, po současnost. Věnuje se vzniku a vývoji antroposofických spolků, zejména Bolzano a Studium.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the theosophical and anthroposophical institutions in the Czech republic, in the historic perspective of thein origin and development from the beginning of thein existence to the present day. It describes the theosoophical doctrine, life and work of Helena Petrovna Blavatsky. It deals with the origins and development of the Adyar Theosophical Society, and the American branch of the Theosophical Society and specific tendencies of German and Austrian theosophy. Followed by a description ot the anthroposophic doctrine it focuses on the pesonality and work of its founder Rudolf Steiner and the formation and development of the anthroposophical society. It describes the history of the Czech theosophical organizations from the late 19th century, when in 1891 the first Czech Theosophical Lodge was established, to the present day. It deals with the origin and development of anthroposophic associations, especially Bolzano and Study.
