Use of financial analysis outputs in business economy

Abstract:

Diplomová práce prezentuje výstupy finanční analýzy účetních výkazů státního podniku Horské lázně Karlova Studánka. Cílem diplomové práce je navrhnout postupy při využití finanční analýzy v řízení podnikové ekonomiky. Podstatnými zdroji informací pro vypracování diplomové práce je česká literatura a veřejně dostupné výroční zprávy, resp. účetní výkazy státního podniku k jednotlivým rokům. Práce zahrnuje teoretická východiska finanční analýzy podniku, kterými jsou informace o historickém vývoji finanční analýzy, účelu finanční analýzy, zásadách finanční analýzy, zdrojích dat pro sestavení finanční analýzy, metodických nástrojích finanční analýzy a souhrnných indexech hodnocení podniku. Praktická část obsahuje zhodnocení horizontální a vertikální analýzy rozvahy, horizontální analýzu výkazu zisku a ztráty, analýzu rentability vlastního kapitálu, rentabilitu aktiv, rozbor původního a nového způsobu výpočtu obratu a doby obratu zásob, pohledávek a závazků a rozbor hospodářské činnosti na bázi přepočteného plánu. Závěrečná část diplomové práce zahrnuje zhodnocení finanční analýzy a případné návrhy jejího využití.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis presents the results of the financial analysis of the financial statements of the state enterprise Horké lázně Karlova Studánka. The aim of the diploma thesis is to design procedures for the use of financial analysis in the management of business economics. Significant sources of information for the elaboration of the diploma thesis are Czech literature and publicly available annual reports, resp. financial statements of the state enterprise for individual years. The thesis includes the theoretical basis of financial analysis of the company, which are information about the historical development of financial analysis, the purpose of financial analysis, principles of financial analysis, data sources for financial analysis, methodological tools of financial analysis and summary indices of company evaluation. The practical part includes evaluation of horizontal and vertical analysis of the balance sheet, horizontal analysis of profit and loss statement, analysis of return on equity, return on assets, analysis of original and new methods of calculating turnover and turnover of inventories, receivables and payables and economic activity based on recalculated plan. The final part of the thesis includes an evaluation of financial analysis and possible proposals for its use.
