Czech protectorate film.

Abstract:

Předkládaná bakalářská práce se primárně zabývá českou kinematografií v období Protektorátu Čechy a Morava, tj. od 15. března 1939 do 5. května 1945. Konkrétně si klade za cíl seznámit čtenáře s problematikou vývoje českého filmu od jeho počátků v 19. století a dalšími pokroky za jeho němé a zvukové éry. Stěžejní část práce se zabývá objasněním zásadních změn v produkci filmu v období německé okupace Československa. Vylíčí, jak probíhala arizace české kinematografie. Dále se zaměří na filmové žánry, které se objevily na plátnech kin, a také na nejproduktivnější filmové tvůrce z řad režisérů, herců a hereček, scenáristů, kameramanů, hudebních skladatelů a architektů. Následně se bude zabývat jednotlivými snímky natočených v prostorech barrandovských, hostivařských a radlických ateliérů a jejich finančními náklady. Lehce také nastíní, jak probíhaly plány na zestátnění kinematografie v prvních dnech ve svobodné republice. Na závěr se práce věnuje využití filmu ve školní praxi.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis primarily deals with Czech cinematography in the period of Bohemian and Moravian Protectorate i.e. from fifteen of March 1939 to fifth of May 1945. This thesis specifically aims to acquaint reader with the development of Czech film from its beginnings in the nineteenth century and other advancements during its silent and sound era. The main part of this thesis deals with the clarification of fundamental changes in film production during the German occupation of Czechoslovakia and also gives description of how the arization of Czech cinematography took place. In addition, it will also focus on film genres that have appeared on cinema screens, as well as on the most productive filmmakers, from the ranks of directors, actors or actresses, screenwriters, cinematographers, composers and architects. Subsequently, the thesis will deal with individual films shot in the premises of the Barrandov, Hostivař and Radlice studios and their financial costs. It will also briefly mention how the plans for the nationalization of cinema went in the early days of the free country. Finally, the work deals with the use of film in school practice.
