Chicane, its displays, prevention and possible solutions

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce analyzuje problematiku šikany, její projevy a prevenci. Především je zaměřena na šikanu ve školním prostředí a to nejen na klasické formy šikany, ale i na nejnovější podobu šikany, kterou s sebou nese vývoj společnosti a technologií – kyberšikanu. V teoretické části práce jsou rozebírány předpoklady pro vznik šikanózního chování ve společnosti, druhy šikany, charakteristika jejích účastníků, prostředí školy ve vztahu k šikaně, následky a řešení šikany. Práce se také dotýká citlivého tématu šikany učitelů. Praktická část je složena ze dvou částí – výzkumu šikany ve škole a rozboru individuálního případu šikanování. Výzkum šikany ve škole je koncipován tak, aby odhalil intenzitu střetů dětí se šikanou, postavení pedagogů v problematice, efektivitu řešení případů patologického chování, náznaky šikany již v mateřské školce a projevy násilí na základní a střední škole. Cílem zkoumání je ověřit si vlastní hypotézy a pokusit se přinést vlastní návrhy řešení šikany ve školách a školkách. Individuální případ šikany v závěru praktické části má za úkol přiblížit podrobněji celou problematiku pro lepší pochopení násilného chování dětí a jeho následků.

Abstract:

This bachelor´s thesis analyses the problematic of chicane, its displays and prevention. It is focused mainly on school chicane and also on the newest form of chicane, which is empowered by new modern technologies – cyberchicane. The teoretical part contains possibilities of the origin of chicanous behaviour inside human society, forms of chicane, characteristic of its participants, school environment in relation to chicane, consequences of chicane and solutions (treatment of) for chicane. The thesis also deals with the delicate theme of teacher chicane. Practical part is divided into two segments. Firstly the research of chicane in particular school, secondly the analysis of individual cases of chicane. The research is conceived with focus on revealing the intensity of children encounters with chicane, the role of teachers in this problematic, the efficiency of solving cases of pathological behaviour, indication of early chicane in kindergartens and the displays of violent behaviour on elementary and high schools. The goal of my research is to verify my own hypothesis and attempt to construct original solutions for fighting against the chicane in schools. The analysis of individual chicane in the last part of this thesis is intended to bring a closer look at the whole problematic and help understanding the violent behaviour of children and its consequences.
