Factors Influencing the Emergence of Burnout in Mothers on Maternity Leave

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na syndrom vyhoření u matek na rodičovské dovolené. V teoretické části práce předkládám obecné pojmy syndromu vyhoření a rodičovství. Praktická část je zacílena na zjištění faktorů, které ovlivňují vznik syndromu vyhoření u matek na rodičovské dovolené. Při analýze hloubkových rozhovorů jsem použila prvky zakotvené teorie a vytvořila jsem kazuistiky zkoumaných matek, které jsou jejich příběhem a odhalují tak cesty k jejich vyhoření. Výsledkem mého výzkumu je odhalení konkrétních rizikových faktorů, kterými jsou nedostatečná sociální opora, problematičtí partneři a náročné děti.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on burnout among mothers on parental leave. In the theoretical part of the work I?m presenting some of the general concepts of burnout and parenting. The practical part is targeted at identifying factors that influence the formation of burnout on parental leave. I have created casuistic study from elements of grounded theory and in depth discussion with the mothers under investigation. From these discussions I was able to reveal the reasons behind their burnout. The result of my research is the revelation of specific risk factors, which are a lack of social support, partners and challenging problematic kids.
