Grounds and challenges of Ladislav Hejdánek's nonobjective thinking

Abstract:

Předkládaná práce si klade dva cíle: 1. systematicky vyložit hlavní témata filosofického myšlení Ladislava Hejdánka, 2. prokázat vzájemnou souvislost a neoddělitelnost jednotlivých témat od jejich etického smyslu, vycházejícího z teoretické a mířící do praktické oblasti života filosofa. První cíl je velmi náročný, protože dosud žádná publikace, týkající se Hejdánkova myšlení, neuchopila všechny oblasti a všechna témata, kterými se napříč svým bádáním zabýval. Proto jakýkoliv pokus o takové uchopení, natož pak v systematické podobě, je nutné brát jako pokus činěný na „zelené louce“. Jedním z důvodů obtížnosti uchopení celku Hejdánkova myšlení (a jeho systematického podání), je roztroušenost jeho myšlenek napříč množstvím poznámek, audionahrávek a náčrtů, z nichž dobře 90% procent nebylo nikdy publikováno. Veškeré esenciální výklady, které v předkládané práci činíme, jsou založené právě na těchto nepublikovaných zdrojích. Z nich vyvozujeme nejen témata, která považujeme za hlavní pro pochopení Hejdánkova myšlení, ale zároveň (a dost možná především) i jejich vývoj napříč Hejdánkovým životem a souvislost jak se společenskými, tak badatelskými obtížemi, se kterými se musel postupem času vyrovnávat. To se odráží i na tvorbě autorů, primárních i sekundárních, jejichž srovnání využíváme k ilustraci podstaty jednotlivých témat a cesty, jakou k nim Hejdánek šel a došel. Druhý cíl této práce je v určitém smyslu snazší. Jednak proto, že ve chvíli, kdy jsou vymezeny tematické oblasti Hejdánkova myšlení, stávají se zřetelnějšími styčné body, které je navzájem pojí. A jednak proto, že předestření vzájemných souvislostí mezi jednotlivými tématy a oblastmi filosofického bádání umožňuje ukázat, jak je celá tato mozaika rámována jedním jediným účelem: vyzvat filosofa k praktické činnosti soustředěné na překonání podmínek, v nichž je nucen pracovat, protože jen tak bude moci vlastním filosofováním napomoci konfrontaci společnosti s jejími prameny, základy a pilíři, na nichž stojí. Etický rozměr, který nalézáme jako podstatu Hejdánkova myšlení a který v průběhu představení jednotlivých témat zdůrazňujeme, má přivést filosofa k osobní angažovanosti ve společenských změnách, maje vždy na paměti, že je to jen a pouze budoucnost, co může být skutečným měřítkem adekvátnosti přítomnosti. Cílem naší práce je seznámit čtenáře s celkem Hejdánkova pojetí subjektu, a to cestou jdoucí postupně třemi oblastmi. Na této cestě čtenáře doprovázíme odkazy a srovnáními s autory, se kterými Hejdánek sám polemizuje, a ukazujeme, co z této polemiky Hejdánek přebírá a co naopak razantně odmítá. Celou cestu nám rámuje z jedné strany snaha o obsáhnutí celku Hejdánkova myšlení, zatímco z druhé strany se přidržujeme důrazu na etický rozměr.

Abstract:

The present study has two objectives: 1. to systematically interpret the main topic of LadislavHejdánek'sphilosophical thinking, 2. to prove a mutual connection and inseparability of individual topics with their ethical meaning, based on the theory as well as the practical life of the philosopher. The first aim is very challenging since insofar none of the publications regarding Hejdánek's way of thinking has grasped all areas and topics the author dealt with across his research. Therefore, any attempt of such apprehending even in a systematic form should be considered to be an attempt to build something from scratch. One of the reasons to apprehend Hejdánek's thinking as a whole (and his systematic approach)is the fact that his thoughts are scattered across diverse notes, audio records and drafts out of which 90% has never been published. All essential interpretations we make in the present part of the study are actually based on these unpublishable resources. Out of them we deduce not only the topics considered to be the main ones for understanding Hejdánek's way of thinking as well as (and possibly in particular) their development through Hejdánek's life and interconnection to his social as well as scholarchallenges he had to deal with throughout the time. This is reflected in the authors' work – both primary and secondary – whose comparison we use in order to illustrate the essence of individual topics and the way Hejdánek approached them. The second objective of the present study is simpler from a certain perspective. The reason behind is both the fact that at the moment when thematic areas of Hejdánek's thinking are determined, the crucial points are more distinct and are mutually linked. The other reason is that introduction of mutual links among individual topics and areas of the philosophical research enables presenting how the whole mosaic is framed with a single purpose: to appeal the philosopher for practical activities focused on overpassing conditions he made since it is the only way in which he may help the society to confronthis resources, basis and pillars they are based on. Ethical dimension we found as the essence of Hejdánek's thinking and which we put emphasis on when presenting individual topics should lead the philosopher to the personal engagement in social changes taking in consideration that the future is the only real measuring tool of relevance of the present. The objective of the present study is to get the audience acquainted with the Hejdánek's approach of the subject-matter as a whole in a manner leading gradually to three areas. In this way, we gradually accompany the readers with links and comparisons with the authors Hejdánekhimself argues and we present what Hejdánektakes over from such arguments and what he vigorously rejects. The whole way is framed from one side with the aspiration to include Hejdánek thinking as a whole while we are supported from the other side by putting emphasis on the ethical dimension.
