Frenemy of Pubescent Children Called Facebook

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce (Ne)přítel pubescentů jménem Facebook je rozdělena do dvou částí. První část je teoretická, kde je vysvětleno několik zásadních pojmů, jako například sociální sítě, Facebook, závislost, neinfekční choroby, raná adolescence, apod. Jsou přiblíženy klady i zápory velkého nárůstu sociálních sítí a jejich vliv na chování, komunikaci, sebepojetí i zdravotní stav dospívajících. Teoretická část práce vychází ze sekundární literatury zabývající se danou problematikou. Tyto teoretické poznatky pak jsou využity v praktické části práce. Ta se skládá z dotazníků s uzavřenými i otevřenými otázkami, které byly pokládány žákům na vyšším stupni základních škol, tedy v rozmezí od deseti do patnácti let, a to především v okolí Břeclavska. Informace byly čerpány z literárních a internetových zdrojů, z informací dotazovaných respondentů a z vlastní zkušenosti autorky jako „uživatelky Facebooku“.

Abstract:

The bachelor´s thesis Frenemy of Pubescent Children Called Facebook is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical, explaining several essential terms like for example social networking sites, Facebook, addiction, non-infectious diseases, early adolescence and the like. The pluses and minuses of the fast development of social networking are examined, including their influence on adolescent behaviour, communication, self-concept and state of health. The theoretical part of this study was obtained from secondary literature sources relating to the given issue. The thesis draws on these theoretical findings in the practical part. A questionnaire, using open-ended and close-ended questions, was distributed to secondary school children, ranging from ten to fifteen years of age and primarily coming from the Breclav area. Data for this study were collected through literary and Internet sources, the information provided by the respondents and also using the author´s own experience as „a Facebook user“.
