Creative accounting

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá velice aktuálním problémem, kterým je kreativní účetnictví. Hlavním cílem práce je podat ucelený pohled na problematiku kreativního účetnictví a objasnit tento pojem. Téma je v úvodní části detailně charakterizováno, následuje popis nejčastěji používaných technik i s konkrétními příklady. Dále jsou popsány účetní skandály, které jsou spojovány s kreativním účetnictvím (např. Enron, Parmalat, Olympus). Část práce se věnuje boji proti kreativnímu účetnictví, např. přijetí zákona SOX. V závěru je analyzován stav hospodářské kriminality v ČR.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the very actual issue, which is creative accounting. The main goal is to provide a comprehensive view on the issue of creative accounting and clarify this concept. The topic is characterized in detail in the introductory part, followed by a description of the most frequently used techniques with specific examples. The thesis continues with a description of the accounting scandals that are associated with creative accounting (e.g. Enron, Parmalat, Olympus). Part of the thesis is devoted to the fight against creative accounting, such as adoption of SOX. In the end there is an analysis of current state of crime in Czech Republic.
