Investiční doporučení za běžných okolností slouží jako pomůcka investorům a pomáhá jim zorientovat se v různých možnostech investičních příležitostí. Naopak však může sloužit i jako nástroj pro manipulaci trhu a určitým subjektům sloužit i jako nástroj na tvorbu zisku na úkor jiných, méně informovaných a méně zkušených investorů.
