Property Tax and its Impact on the Budget of the Municipality of Slavičín

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je provedení analýzy hospodaření obce Slavičín a daně z nemovitých věcí v obci a také zjištění, zdali je vhodné, s ohledem na výběr daně z nemovitých věcí okolních obcí, daň z nemovitých věcí v obci Slavičín upravit a jakým způsobem. Teoretická část je zpracována metodou literární rešerše, která se věnuje teoretickým poznatkům týkajících se obce, rozpočtu obce, daňového systému a daně z nemovitých věcí. V praktické části je nejprve představena obec Slavičín a poté analyzováno hospodaření a daň z nemovitých věcí v obci. Součástí praktické části je rovněž provedení výzkumu mezi vybranými obcemi zaměřeného na hospodaření obcí a daň z nemovitých věcí. Vzhledem k vyššímu příjmu z daně z nemovitých věcí na jednoho obyvatele jedné z obcí je obci Slavičín doporučeno příjem z daně z nemovitých věcí navýšit, a to pomocí místního koeficientu ve výši 1,2, vztahujícího se na všechny nemovité věci na území celé obce.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyse the management of the municipality of Slavičín and the real estate tax in the municipality and also to determine whether it is appropriate, with regard to the collection of real estate tax in the surrounding municipalities, to adjust the real estate tax in the municipality of Slavičín and how. The theoretical part is prepared by means of a literature search, which focuses on the theoretical knowledge concerning the municipality, the municipal budget, the tax system and the real estate tax. The practical part first introduces the municipality of Slavičín and then analyses the management and real estate tax in the municipality. The practical part also includes conducting research among selected municipalities on municipal management and property tax. Given the higher per capita property tax revenue in one of the municipalities, it is recommended that the municipality of Slavičín should increase its property tax revenue by applying a local coefficient of 1.2 to all immovable property in the municipality.
