Study of current and applicationof new methods to capture narcotics and mobile phones while serving a prison sentence

Abstract:

Práce hodnotila současný stav metod pro odhalování pašování omamných látek a mobilních telefonů. Druhá část byla zaměřena na návrhy nových metod. Výzkumné otázky byly šetřeny čtyřmi výzkumnými metodami: Kvalitativní rozhovory, kvantitativní dotazník, komparace a metoda SWOT. Kvalitativních rozhovorů se zúčastnili zástupci sedmi věznic a dvě vazební věznice a specialisté z Celní správy. Kvantitativní metoda získala zpětnou vazbu od 132 respondentů. Z výsledků výzkumných metod je patrné, že převládá zájem o vylepšení metod odhalování. Metoda komparace srovnala úroveň metod odhalování mezi českými věznicemi a zahraničními věznicemi. Výsledkem je zjištění, že úroveň zahraničních věznic je vyšší. Díky průzkumu trhu ohledně technických metod byla získána možnost bezplatného vypůjčení moderního detektoru. Jedná se o detektor vysoké úrovně, který dokáže detekovat mobil schovaný v tělní dutině. Z výstupů použitých výzkumných metod vznikly návrhy metod, které budou prezentovány vedení Věznice Bělušice a dále poskytnuty všem, kteří se zúčastnili kvalitativního rozhovoru.

Abstract:

The work evaluated the current state of methods for detecting the smuggling of narcotics and mobile phones. The second part was focused on proposals for new methods. The research questions were done using four research methods: Qualitative interviews, quantitative questionnaire, comparison and the SWOT method. Representatives of seven prisons and two remand prisons and specialists from the Customs Administration took part in the qualitative interviews. The quantitative method received feedback from 132 respondents. From the results of the research methods, it is evident that there is a prevailing interest in improving detection methods. The comparison method compared the level of detection methods between Czech prisons and foreign prisons. The result is the finding that the level in foreign prisons is higher. Thanks to market research regarding technical methods, the possibility to borrow a modern detector was obtained free of charge. It is a high-level detector that can detect a cell phone hidden in a body cavity. The outputs of the research methods used resulted in proposals for methods that will be presented to the management of Bělušice Prison and further provided to all who participated in the qualitative interview.
