From Cirkus Bukowsky to Rapl: Production-Institutional and System Analysis of the Serial Production of the Creative Pair Pachl-Viewegh in the Creative Conditions of Czech Television

Abstract:

V roce 2013 diváky České televize (dále ČT) překvapil seriál Cirkus Bukowsky, který se stal jednou z vlajkových lodí nového vedení ČT v čele s novým generálním ředitelem Petrem Dvořákem. Zároveň tento seriál již před uvedením na televizní obrazovky vyvolával vysoká divácká očekávání, jež utvářela a podporovala mediální kampaň. Tato magisterská diplomová práce seriál Cirkus Bukowsky staví do centra svých analýz, přičemž množné číslo je namístě, protože uplatňuje dvě volně se doplňující analytické perspektivy.

Abstract:

In 2013, the viewers of Czech Television (CT) were surprised by the Cirkus Bukowsky series, which became one of the flagships of the new management of the CT headed by the new CEO Petr Dvořák. At the same time, this series raised high viewers' expectations even before being aired, which created and sustained the media campaign. This master's thesis puts the Cirkus Bukowsky series at the center of its analyzes, with pluralism being used there because it uses two freely complementary analytical perspectives.
