Abstract:
Tato bakalářská práce má za cíl porovnat dva anglické překlady Homérovy Odyssey, jmenovitě překlad Emily Wilsonové z roku 2018 a překlad Roberta Fitzgeralda z roku 1961. Emily Wilsonová svůj překlad vydala jako vůbec první žena, která báseň přeložila do angličtiny. Abstract:
This bachelor’s thesis aims to compare two English translations of Homer’s Odyssey, namely the translations by Emily Wilson, published in 2018 and by Robert Fitzgerald, published in 1961. Emily Wilson published her translation as the first woman to translate the poem into English.
