Abstract:
The thesis looks into the differences in English pronunciation by Czech and Spanish speakers with a focus on weak syllables and weak forms. The theoretical part gathers information about the schwa sound and its use in the English, Czech and Spanish language. The phonetic systems of the three languages are also included.
