Abstract:

Finanční (ne)gramotnost je aktuálním a dlouhodobě diskutovaným tématem. Hlavním cílem této diplomové práce je proto analýza a komparace úrovně finanční gramotnosti v ČR, Německu a Polsku. Dílčí hypotéza práce tvrdí, že finanční gramotnost je tím vyšší, čím vyšší je úroveň dosaženého vzdělání dospělé populace daného státu. V teoretické části práce jsou vysvětleny důležité pojmy, principy a projekty pro podporu finančního vzdělávání. Praktická část práce shromažďuje a analyzuje data vysvětlující úroveň finanční gramotnosti dospělých, zadluženost domácností a počet nově nařízených exekucí ve sledovaných státech. Následně hodnotí vztah mezi finanční gramotností a dosaženým vzděláním dospělé populace. Přestože se finanční gramotnost dospělých ve sledovaných letech mírně zvýšila, její úroveň je stále relativně nízká. Pozitivní vliv na tento ukazatel má rostoucí podíl populace s terciárním vzděláním, což potvrzuje dílčí hypotézu práce. Součástí práce je také doporučení pro zlepšení úrovně finanční gramotnosti v ČR.

Abstract:

Financial literacy is a current and well-discussed topic nowadays. The aim of the master thesis is to analyze and compare the level of financial literacy in the Czech Republic, Germany and Poland. The thesis should also confirm or refute the hypothesis, that the higher the educational level of adult population is, the higher the level of financial literacy is. The theoretical part explains the main concepts and introduces some of the projects supporting financial education. The practical part analyzes data explaining the level of financial literacy, indebtedness of households and the amount of orders for garnishment received. Subsequently, the relationship between the level of financial literacy and the educational level of adult population is examined. Even though the financial literacy of adults was increasing in mentioned countries, its level is still relatively low. The increasing percentage of adult population with tertiary education has a positive impact to financial literacy.
