Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou rozvodů a svateb britské královské rodiny v průběhu historie. Práce je zaměřena na tři královské postavy: Jindřicha VIII., Edwarda VIII. a Prince Charlese a zkoumá problematiku rozvodů a svateb jak z historického hlediska, tak sociálního a právního. Cílem práce je ukázat, jak se měnil přístup k manželství a rozvodům v královské rodině z pohledu společnosti, církve, zákona a královské rodiny samotné v průběhu historie a jak tyto aspekty ovlivnily královské svatby a případné rozvody.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of marriages/divorces of the British royal family in history. The main focus is on Henry VIII, Edward VIII and Prince Charles. The aim of this thesis is to compare how royal relationships have developed in history and how differently they are perceived by the public. The main aim is to show how significantly the perception of the royal relationships has shifted and that also the motivations for royal marriages have changed. The thesis focuses both on the legal status of the relationships and public opinion. It describes how royal relationships were accepted by the public, the Government, the Church and by the monarch. It shows what roles these institutions played in royal relationships and how significantly they influenced them.
