Proces sestavení účetní závěrky lze vyjádřit jako nejdůležitější krok ve společnosti za celý rok. Tímto procesem společnost završí veškeré své činnosti a podá celkový přehled, neboli věrný a poctivý obraz, o jejím hospodaření za dané účetní období.
