Analysis and Development of Third-Party Insurance in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Anotace Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou pojištění odpovědnosti za škodu způsobenou provozem vozidla. Nejprve se věnuji představení historického vývoje a pohnutek vedoucích k jeho zavedení. Pro jeho plné pochopení analyzuji a provedu vysvětlení významu důležitých pojmů společně s rozborem práv a povinností všech zúčastněných stran. Jádrem práce je vyhotovení vzorových kalkulací od více pojišťoven a jejich následné porovnání z hlediska kvality a kvantity. Kalkulace vychází z požadavků dvou modelových klientů, jejichž volba byla provedena tak, aby byly zřejmé rozdílné přístupy pojišťoven k různým skupinám klientů. Na základě takto získaných dat rozeberu postavení pojišťoven a zamyslím se nad otázkami dalšího vývoje. Cílem je představení obsáhlejšího materiálu umožňujícího hlubší pochopení tohoto pojištění nejen běžné veřejnosti, ale díky své komplexnosti i čtenářům z řad odborné veřejnosti.

Abstract:

Annotation These graduation theses deal with the topic of liability insurance against third-party risks resulted from vehicle operation. At first I pay attention to presentation of historical development and reasons for establishment of this type of insurance. I make an analysis and give the explanation of important terms meaning together with analysis of rights and duties of all participating parties in order to achieve full understanding of this topic. Elaboration of sample calculations from different insurance companies and their subsequent comparison from the quality and quantity point of view is the basis of these theses. The calculations are based on requests of two model clients selected in accordance with the purpose to show different approaches of insurance companies towards different groups of clients. On the basis of these acquired data I make an analysis of insurance companies position and I take a think about matters of further development. Presentation of extensive materials that enable deep understanding of this type of insurance not only by the wide public but also by readers-specialists is the target of this work.
