Space as a platform for audiovisual intervention

Abstract:

Práce se věnuje fenomenologickému pojetí prostoru u Maurice Merleau-Pontyho a zároveň hledá aspekty prostorovosti v případě audiovizuální tvorby. Tyto myšlenky se snaží aplikovat na vybraných uměleckých dílech a klade si za cíl poskytnout teoretický základ pro úvahy nad vztahem uměleckého díla a jeho diváka skrze prožívaný prostor.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with phenomenological conception of space in works of Maurice Merleau-Ponty and also searches for aspects of spatiality in case of audiovisual production. This work tries to apply forementioned thoughts on selected pieces of art and aims on establishment of theoretical background for reflections on relationship between piece of art and its spectator through lived space.
