Value Orientations of Participants in Further Education and the Perception of Barriers of Participation in Further Education

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se ve své teoretické rovině zabývá třemi oblastmi. První z nich se zaměří na další vzdělávání dospělých, druhá na hodnoty a hodnotové orientace účastníků dalšího vzdělávání a třetí na motivaci a bariéry, které brání účastníkům dalšího vzdělávání v jeho realizaci a účasti na něm. Hlavním cílem empirické části práce je zjištění existence korelace mezi hodnotovými orientacemi účastníků dalšího vzdělávání a percepcí bariér k účasti na něm. Mezi další dílčí cíle je zařazen jednak výzkum motivačních faktorů vedoucích účastníky k dalšímu vzdělávání, analýza hodnotových orientací těchto účastníků a komparace jednotlivých druhů bariér ve vztahu k věkové kategorii účastníků, jejich pohlaví i délce návaznosti na další vzdělávání. Výzkumná část práce je řešena v kvantitativním výzkumném rámci formou strukturovaného dotazníku.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with three areas in its theoretical part. The first area focuses on further education of adults, the second on values and value orientations of the further education participants, and the third focuses on motivation and barriers which hinder the further education participants in its realization and their participation. The main goal of the empiric part of this thesis is to find the existence of a correlation between value orientations of the further education participants and perception of barriers affecting the participation. Among other sub-objectives, there is a research of motivation factors that lead the participants to further education, an analysis of value orientations of those participants, and a comparison of individual types of barriers in a relation to participant's age category, their gender, and the length of continuity with further education. The research part of the thesis is based on quantitative research in the form of a structured questionnaire.
