Cyberbullying of Children and Youth on Social Networks

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Kyberšikana dětí a mládeže na sociálních sítích“ je zaměřena na problematiku kybernetické šikany a chování dětí a mládeže v kyberprostoru. V současné době se kyberšikana nekontrolovatelně rozšiřuje do českých škol a dětských kolektivů, proto je žádoucí a velice důležité, neodkladně a stále o této hrozbě informovat jak všechny rodiče, tak i samotné děti. V bakalářské práci jde o zjištění, v jakém věku a jaké sociální účty si děti nejčastěji zakládají, s kým tyto účty otevřeně sdílejí a s kým komunikují. V bakalářské práci je také ověření míry znalostí, které mají děti a mládež, týkající se především bezpečného používání sociálních účtů, zda poznají, kdy jim hrozí riziko a zdali vědí, kam se obrátit v případě útoku na jejich osobu. Cílem bakalářské práce je zprostředkovat fakta, o tom, jak se dnešní děti a mládež chovají na sociálních sítích. Výzkumným cílem bakalářské práce je zmapování problematiky kybernetické šikany. Zejména prověřit, jak a s kým komunikují dnešní děti a mládež na sociálních sítích, zda se dostatečně chrání, popřípadě jestli vědí, kam se obrátit o radu či pomoc, když dojde k nežádoucím jevům v rámci útoku na jejich osobu, ať posměšnými urážkami nebo anonymním vyhrožováním.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis "Cyberbullying of Children and Youth on Social Networks" is focused on cyberbullying and behavior of children and youth in cyberspace. Currently, as cyberbullying is expanding uncontrollably into Czech schools and children´s groups, it is desirable and very important to report immediately and constantly about this threat both all parents and children themselves. The thesis has an ambition to find out at what age and what social accounts the children create and with whom they share them. One can find in this thesis the level of knowledge that children and youth have, mainly in the sense of using social accounts; whether they are capable to recognize when they are at risk and whether they know where to turn to in the case of attack. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to convey facts about how children of today and youth behave on social networks. The research aim of the thesis is to map the issue of cyberbullying, especially to find out how and with whom children of today and youth communicate on social networks, whether they protect themselves sufficiently, or if they know where to turn to for advice or help in the case of mocking insults or anonymous threats.
